Power Platform solutions with governance built in

I’m Leila Marchant, a Power Platform specialist building practical Microsoft business solutions with Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Dataverse and Power Apps. My focus is on creating automation and AI-enabled experiences that are clear for users, structured for the business, and designed with governance in mind.

My approach to solution design

I build Microsoft business applications that turn manual or inconsistent processes into structured, traceable workflows. My portfolio focuses on request and approval journeys, identity-aware agents, Dataverse-driven process design, and governance patterns such as role-based access, auditing and resilient automation.

What interests me most is the point where usability meets control: where a solution feels simple on the surface, but underneath it is handling validation, identity, approvals, status changes and operational traceability in a disciplined way.

My earlier background in design and digital experience still shapes how I work. I care deeply about clarity, user confidence and communication — but I now apply those strengths to Power Platform solution design in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Core principles

The principles that shape how I design Power Platform solutions.

Governance by Design

I build with governance in mind from the start — not as an afterthought. That means thinking about RBAC, auditability, identity, approval controls, error handling and traceability as part of the solution design, not just the documentation.

Automation that stays reliable

A useful workflow is not just one that works once. I focus on resilient patterns such as validation, idempotency, fallback behaviour, and clear state management so processes remain predictable as they scale.

Business-first architecture

I am interested in solving real business problems, not adding complexity for its own sake. I aim to design solutions that are easy to explain to stakeholders, practical to maintain, and credible to both end users and technical reviewers.

Always learning the platform

Power Platform is evolving quickly, especially around Copilot Studio, Microsoft Entra, Dataverse and AI integration. I actively build, test and refine so my knowledge stays practical, current and grounded in hands-on implementation.

My Approach & Philosophy

A deeper dive into how I approach architecture, practical AI, and enterprise governance.

I was drawn to this space because it sits at the intersection of problem-solving, user experience, and business transformation. My earlier work taught me how important clarity, usability, and structured thinking are to successful digital solutions. Power Platform and Copilot Studio gave me a way to apply those strengths in a more technical, operational context — designing solutions that are not just user-friendly, but secure, scalable, and useful to the business.

My background in UX, UI, and digital experience means I think about adoption as much as architecture. A solution can be technically sound, but if it creates friction for users, it will not succeed. I design business applications and automations with both sides in mind: clear user journeys on the surface, and secure, well-structured architecture underneath.

I work best at the point where business problems need to become structured, scalable solutions. My strength is translating messy operational challenges into well-designed workflows, data models, and end-to-end processes. I am particularly drawn to functional consulting and solution design roles where architecture, process thinking, and practical delivery matter more than isolated development tasks.

I see AI as a practical tool that should improve process quality, speed, and decision-making, not just add novelty. My focus is on building governed, business-connected agents that work safely within real operational workflows. That includes secure authentication, structured orchestration, environment-based configuration, and background automations that actively move work forward rather than simply respond to prompts.

Because building something that works once is not the same as building something a business can trust. I design with governance from the start so solutions are secure, maintainable, and ready to scale. That means thinking about RBAC, auditability, idempotency, structured environments, and clean deployment practices early — not trying to bolt them on later.
